The article I chose to write about is “The Gay Option”, The author is Stephanie Fairyington. She is a lesbian writer and believes that being gay is a choice and not a predetermined abnormality. She also believes in the politics of choice. Fairyington is the cofounder of and editor of “the slant” a freelance journalist in New York. The author is important because it gives a backstory of what the author life was like, and gives the reader the insight of how the authors personality and style in writing is.
