Question 1 The term stereotyping means to put something in a certain category based on certain beliefs or assumptions. If this term is applied to humans it can entail the belief that a certain group of people is superior to another in certain qualities such as color, education, gender and even religion. Firstly, an example can be seen in Hollywood’s animations which predominantly portray black people as inferior to other races by giving them marginal roles. Secondly, in Dumbo, African Americans are stereotyped as unintelligent and very dark in complexion yet there are many blacks who are light in color.
