A study of Prenatal-Infant Development from conception to three-years of age. This course will cover the prenatal period, maternal-fetal interactions, birth and health factors, Attachment Theory, theories of early development, parenting styles, temperament, physical, intellectual, socioemotional, and environmental factors that affect the development of the growing child.
Prerequisite
Admittance to one of selected programs, or permission of the instructor: Early Childhood Education, Children Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Family & Human Development, or other pertinent subfield.
