Throughout President Obama’s two terms in the white house, a big emphasis he and the first lady had was on child education. One of the President’s biggest emphasis during his stay in the White House was the STEM program. STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. These four topics were seen as the main ideas a student should emphasize learning in order to build a brighter future. Although the STEM program is leading students to careers such as engineering or computer science, it is leaving other areas of study to seem irrelevant. One course that should be seen as a stronger force in the world is marketing. Marketing is the art of understanding demographics of people, finding the target market, and introducing a product or service to that target market. The STEM program would not be as powerful as it is without the proper marketing procedures the campaign had. Marketing is strongly needed to understand as both a consumer or seller. Marketing should be studied because it is prevalent around the world, and it generates critical thinking. …show more content…

This phenomenon has only gotten bigger within the last two decades, with Television and internet media getting bigger. With the internet, products and services can reach towards a bigger audience, audiences that this generation’s ancestors could only dream of. If a person were to study marketing he or she would be able to sell, share, or trade any idea he or she has created. Even people who are not trying to sell a product or service, but are looking for an opportunity in other countries, that person could better sell him or herself better than other people by using strategies learned in
