Have you ever had big pressures? Pressures that you don't think will ever get fully resolved? Have you ever stayed up late worrying about things that you can’t fix but you desperately want to. In two stories the protagonists handle pressures with grace. John Baxter from The Baxters Series by, Karen Kingsbury is one example he has a big family, with a big family and with is usually a lot of problems. Also he is a doctor so he has a lot of pressure of doing the right thing as a doctor. Another character that handles his problems with grace is August Pullman from Wonder by R.J. one example is they work hard. John Baxter works hard at being a doctor even when there he has a pressure he is loving and kind to the everyone. For example when luke his son, betrayed the family and his faith he saw his girlfriend at the hospital and even though she was a bad influence on luke he went by her side and prayed for her like she was his own little girl. Even though he had a lot of pressure with losing his son he was nice and graceful to those around him. Additionally, Auggie works hard at school. He works hard to get good grades. He has a lot of pressure because he hasn’t ever been to real school so he needs to catch up with all the other students. As you can see both Mr. Baxter and Auggie work hard even with pressure. Even under pressure they are graceful. For example, they both have struggles. For example John Baxter has a big family so there is almost always hard struggles. For example Hayle his granddaughter had a near death situation when she almost drowned. Hayley undernder water for about 15 minutes and was in a comma for a couple weeks. The doctors said she probably would not make it and if she did she would spend a life in a wheelchair. In this moment John almost gave in to the pressures but then he chooses to handle the pressure with grace . On the other hand Agust has a lot of pressure to fit in. August is new to his school and doesn’t have many friends because of the way his face looks. To add on
