“Shift in Progress: A Not So Comic Book” is a collection of narratives that highlights the struggles of workers in contemporary workplaces and to “empower young people to tell their stories, [...] [making their] voices heard in a broader context” (Pike, S., Butz, L. & R., Johnson, K., Louden, S., & Barlott-Cardenas, L., 2007, p. 2). From discrimination and exploitation to harassment and burnout, these narratives portray the harsh realities faced by workers in today’s society.
