President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was an important American figure in the time he was alive and in his presidency. However, it all came to a very violent end. The President was going from state to state trying to get people to vote for him in the next election. He was at a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. At around 12:30 in the afternoon, gunshots came from behind the cars and struck the president in the back of the head (“JFK Assassination”).
Two black activist W.E.B Dubois and Booker T. Washington had different perspectives about African American education to overcome economic and social problems such as lack of education, racism and unfair laws. Booker T. Washington opinion was for education for African Americans were for them to show themselves as productive in the society. W.E.B Dubois thought that black education should be primary and the black children should accept white supremacy. The challenges that blacks faced in the late 1800 's early 1900 '2 were blacks were enslaved in the south were they lost citizenship, voting rights and working in skilled jobs because they were looked at like a threat by the whites.
Some text to defend my claim is “Dealing with feelings of school safety, and specifically addressing school bullying.” The text also says that 90% of students in grades 4-8 report being harassed or bullied.” This shows that you need to report bullying when you see it and stick up for people and yourself. Also, this shows that most of the kids in school get bullied in grades 4-8. That's why kids need to be courageous and take when they see it to tell a trusted adult.
In most schools, nearly half of all teachers are never trained in bullying prevention. Bullies are mostly cruel to innocent young children. Only one-third of students between ages 12 - 18 report being bullied. Students now judge or will be judged by the way they look, dress, speak, or their hair style. Over 2,000 American teenagers turn to suicide because of bullying.
I’d help them deal with the bully and help them speak up to him/her. In a case when I’m not around and I’m busy, I’d give them steps to deal with the problem. I would first tell them to first ignore the bully. If that doesn’t work, I’d tell them next to be brave and to stand up to the bully, letting them know that he/ she isn’t alone.
A child or children who are bullies often come from a background where this type of behaviour is acceptable. The child/children grow up thinking that to get their way or to earn the respect of others he/she/they must resort to bullying. The onus therefore lies on the adults such as parents, teachers and guardians to ensure that children grow up with proper values and morals to become individuals filled with self confident and have a high self
Bullying is an undesirable, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves actual disparity of power. According to Megan Brooks bullying is a serious public health problems, with significant short-and long-term psychological consequences for the child who is bullied and the child who is the bully. This only tells us that bullying can lead to difficulty that a certain children may experience and will have either short or long term problem. “Bullying has long been tolerated as a rite of passage among children and adolescents, but it has lasting, negative consequences and cannot simply be ignored.” Committee chair Frederick Rivera, MD.
I say that it’s human nature, and you can’t fix that. As such, the current attempt at stopping bullying is not, and will not, work. What we need to do, is cut down our efforts. We have a lot of efforts, but that doesn’t mean that they’re good.
Workplace bullying is a growing issue for all the organizations to manage people. Bullying is defined as acts or verbal comments that could 'mentally ' hurt or isolate a person in the workplace. As well as, sometimes bullying can involve negative physical contact. Furthermore, bullying usually involves repeated incidents or a pattern of behavior that is intended to intimidate, offend, and humiliate a particular person or group of people. Some scholars described bullying as the assertion of power through aggression (Workplace Bullying Institute, 2015).
What is bullying? Bullying is hurting someone unreasonably or to cause embarrassment. School is supposed to be a place where students should feel safe and sound. Many students have difficulty to go to school every day due to bullying issues. Bullying is becoming a terrible problem in our society.
By knowing the cause and effect of bullying, students can identify it and immediately report it. Students are sometimes afraid to report incidents of bullying, because they are afraid of consequences like dislike and increased conflict with the bully. To prevent this fear, students should be encouraged to speak to an adult without any hesitation. By doing so, “The adult can give comfort, support, and advice, even if they can’t solve the problem directly. Encourage the child to report bullying if it happens” (“How to Prevent Bullying”).
Bullying Can Be Prevented Bullying is a form of violence to pick on victims because they are different from their bullies, have insecurity/jealousy or home problems. The hate towards their victim has something to do with the victim having an unusual gift or being intelligent the bullies has yet to become. It is important that this behavior should be prevented or it will become worse. Bullying is one of the main issues public and private schools have to face on a day-to-day basis. When the bully takes it too far, the victim snaps and retaliates by fighting him/her back physically or verbally.
Students will be aware of how much damage a bully may cause to the victim, and many times a bully is a victim of another bully.
