This guidelines can be an improvement of already set guidelines or introducing suggestions. The manual is particularly helpful to new writers as they can use it for learning purposes. Although there are available templates on different professional styles to be applied a tutor or teacher can customize this manual to suit their different discourses and specifying what specific styles he or she expects his or her students should employ in their work since he or she will be in charge of reviewing the said work. For academic writing the manual has to be concise and descriptive enough to be palatable to the reader. Communicate effectively the why, how, what and when of the application of the different professional styles. If you are drafting a manual say on how to use APA format be sure to include how to set the format on your writer. While experienced writers have mastered the art of rhetorical decision most less experienced writers rarely know they are applying these skills in their writings. Once writers decide on purpose of as their writings then they move on to deciding the genre deciding on what genre to be used. The teacher can decide specify the genre for the student as guideline. For example the teacher could make his/her writing in a memo
Conclusion
Every academic write up should be able to give the big picture and will mostly start with an introduction which gives an idea of how the rest of the paper is going to be laid out. Ensure the tone is balanced in your paper as well as maintaining good diction. Use clear language by structuring your sentences and paragraphs well and when arguing your point use evidence based argument unless giving out a personal opinion. Last but not least make your paper thesis
