Promises is a film that was created in 2001 that was directed by B.Z. Goldberg and Carlos Bolabo. The documentary tells the story of 7 children ranging in the ages of 7-13 years old. Having the film focused on kids opinions instead of adults because it gives a fresh view on how they interpret the situation. The film focuses on 7 different children and their lives as Palestinian and Israeli children living in and around Jerusalem. Although they are not far in distance, they exist in completely separate worlds. Before watching this film I was not aware of the amount of conflict that was happening in the country of Israel. I learned about the massive amount of security that is at different spots around the country and also that they have checkpoints
