The company that I will be using for the project is called Promo Direct. Promo Direct sells products and services to businesses by using different marketing channels and divisions. The company has an overall rating of 9.83 out of 10 and they were voted the #1 for Promotional Product Stores Reviews. They are located in Henderson Nevada, and have very high-profile customers such as, Walmart, 7 eleven, Wells Fargo, and National Geographic. To name a few.
The software that the company uses other than Windows is called ATG. ATG stores customer information, such as, names, addresses, phone numbers and purchase history, in a database. It is an internet phone service. The customer service team uses this service for their sales calls. The sales team relies heavily on the I-3 service. If it was to ever stop working then they would no longer be able to make sales calls. They would have to wait until the I-3 service was restored before they could resume their customer service calls.

The company prides itself on creating and putting into practice technology results that deliver the best business results they can offer. The company has 2 primary focuses which are data assimilation and analytics and reporting.
There are 4 types of servers that are the most common. This includes web, e-mail, database, infrastructure management and file servers. They provide quite a few services for external and internal users. They are also used to store sensitive company data. These servers have data that is very valuable. This means that the amount of attacks they get from malicious users happen more often. It will also show you how to configure OS user authentication, and delete or unarm unnecessary services. It has instructions for network protocols, how harden the OS, and applications. It shows you how to mend and enhance the OS, construct resource controls appropriately, and so much more. There is no doubt that this guideline will help you to securing your operating system.
