Pet adoption is a good thing because of many reasons one of those being that you give a pet with no home a new home. Another reason is that you help decrease the amount of stray animals that are just out on the streets. Some other reasons are rehabilitation and a second chance for those who have been mistreated. Adopting a pet from the SPCA is the best way to go, plus it’s better than getting them from pet stores or breeders. A lot of people will argue that adopting a pet from the SPCA can be a bad thing. The negatives that they can say is that they might be emotionally damaged might not get alone with other pets or kids, or they might misbehave and act out. These are all considerable negative outcomes, but when you think of the good that it can do it weights it out. The positives include having a new pet, bringing joy and love to the pet, the children love the pet, it gets along with the family, and it helps protect the house and brings joy to the home. They also take very good care of the animals that they take in and get them healthy. In addition to this they find loving homes for cats and dogs, are in partnership with the NYPD to help arrest people that use animal cruelty. Another thing they do is help work to an intensive behavioral and rehabilitation centers. Along with all of this they not only help pets find loving homes and families, but they also help find cures and make vaccines to cure some of the diseases that some animals might have. They care so much about every animal that they get and try their best to keep them as clean and healthy that they can possibly be. This is obviously shows that the SPCA really cares about their animals more than Pet stores or Puppy mills
