Our lives are how we choose them to be and it is the people that have the power not the government, which is just a medium to present the voice of the people to all. In our lives policies dealing with healthcare have made a major impact in our society and changed many different aspects. Specifically the Affordable Healthcare Act has made a significant change in a long time.
The affordable Healthcare Act is officially known as the patient protection and affordable care act that reforms health care and health insurance in the United States of America. More commonly referred to as Obamacare. The law is meant to help stop the increase in healthcare spending and also provide better health facilities by making itself affordable …show more content…

As seen by the health reconciliation act, it is depicted that the government will do anything to make changes to help the middle class and the poverty stricken. I feel that in our society today the affordable care act is a great example on how to provide people with cheaper health insurance and this also ensure higher societal standards in our world. Statistics show that over 20 million will be exempt from fee by 2016 and more private coverage will be available and minimum coverage will increase more. As always there are people to oppose this act and would rather have a different solution as they some problems include such as more options will make it harder to choose the right coverage, requires more spending upfront to see long term changes, more regulations etc. the opposition argues that the alternative is the patient care act which would expand tax credits by greatly increasing tax credits. The problem is that tax credits will not have a deep enough impact unlike Obamacare, which makes it easier to get a cheap insurance that covers a larger group and some pros include a $3 trillion dollar free market healthcare industry, provides many protections and can provide over half of uninsured quality
