Unfortunately, The Obama Administration soon leaves office with the worst race relations our country has faced in decades. The reason being that after failing in foreign and domestic policy, the democratic party needed a rallying point. One of those points was Black Lives Matter, which is and was a cynical effort promoted by self interest of the Democratic party to manipulate inner city blacks and win their support. In turn, votes for a democratic party that has utterly failed to bring any form of change to the impoverished black people of our
In night, Elie Wiesel, tells the story of his time in the holocaust and all the horrors that came with it. Throughout the novel, Elie Wiesel portrays a claim of saying death is not the only answer, but it is one. If they choose death, which many men did in the novel, it is the easiest way out. However, you could continue living and see what the future holds for you which is the one Elie Wiesel chose.
We will win our freedom because the sacred heritage of our nation and the eternal will of God are embodied in our echoing demands” (paragraph 43). This shows he’s not being selfish and just doing it for himself, he’s doing it for all his African American brothers and sisters. He talked about all they did and they are still suffering in the cruel world where they get no respect and are treated unfairly so he’s making a change for everyone in his culture. Patrick Henry states “Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace but there is no peace. The war is actually begun!
The sole purpose of Malcolm X’s speech was to persuade African Americans to become more politically aware and to vote members of their own race into
The first thing that stood out to me from Dr. Angela Davis’s speech was that some African Americans feel that they are not even considered human. I did not realize that people felt that way and I do not think I will ever forget that statement. One thing I learned from many sociology classes is that I have white privilege which means I will never question my self-worth based on the color of my skin.
William Jennings Bryan once said, “Never be afraid to stand with the minority when the minority is right, for the minority which is right will one day be the majority”. Standing up to the majority is vital, it gives individuals the opportunity to express their individual, unique opinions and experiences. It allows the majority to become open to diversity and the cultures that come along with it. This has been shown throughout history, Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech, is an instance of this. This speech encapsulated all that he was fighting for, for the African American minority in America and their rights.
It’s certainly possible as I’ve interacted on a daily basis with some when not surrounded by their usual posse of group thinkers, will tell you one-on-one that they like that Trump speaks truth to power. So far, these guys may be the exception, but if Trump can garner this segment of independent thinkers, he can change his fortunes and those of black America. Moreover, polls say many black folks don’t like Clinton. They can see through the lies and conceivably are the black silent majority. Rather, than cast a ballot for Clinton, they will sit out the election like 40 percent of eligible voters usually do.
It is nearly impossible for an African-American to be embraced and known as a model model minority. Let 's start off
I have the kind of mindset that you need to make this country great again. So ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States. (APPLAUSE) (CROWD: "Trump, Trump, Trump!") We are going to make our country great
As a U.S. citizen there are pretty much only three things you should be doing, that is paying taxes, voting, and serving on a jury. Skipping over the first two brings us to jury duty, which many feel to be a nuisance, but really, is it? Our right to a jury trial is one of the foundations our country was built on. Just because you don’t have a choice when it comes to jury duty, doesn’t mean it’s something that you should feel negative toward. Yes, that piece of mail we receive “summons” us to report to jury duty, but don’t think it that way.
Shirley Chisholm’s Presidential Bid From the beginning, the world was a place of inequality. However, it is possible to change. Through hard work from significant individuals, the world has fought wars and created laws that have led towards equality.
President Obama is the 44th elected president and the first African American President of the United States (Bibliography.com Editors, 2016). With the election coming up this year in November 2016, it is a time for us to reflect on the success and downfalls of the president. Most importantly, being the first African American President and knowing the struggle of the minority, what has he done for the African American community? It has been argued by many that President Obama has not done anything for the black community, especially by current presidential candidate Donald Trump. His supporters and even some African Americans themselves believe that President Obama has not changed the situation of the African Americans in the Unites States.
I do this by getting an education. Education is a stepping stone in the ladder to success. Having a higher education helps me to be able to find a job that will provide finical support so that I do not have to rely on the government for assistance like most may think I will. I also speak up for black lives in every classroom I step

A child is struggling to learn at his/ school. He is more of a visual learner, like learning with pictures and shapes in front of him. His school, however, does not have the power and funding to do such things for him, which leaves him struggling and get bad grades.
