World that we live nowadays is not secure because crime occur everywhere. Wherever we look, we find criminals and crime. Criminals become a part of our daily lives. This become a concern to all countries including Malaysia because it will impact all citizens irrespective of age, education level, gender, race or religion. In order to assure the safety of citizens, the criminals need to be punished. According to Hands Off Cain, an anti-death penalty organization, he mentions that only 43 of the nearly 200 countries that participate in the UN (United Nations) routinely use death penalty as a punishment for people who committed crimes as well as Malaysia. In spite of, death penalty is the killing of human by lynching, electrocution, lethal injection, firing squad and hanging. When the word death penalty is used, it makes yelling and screaming from both sides of extremist. One side may say it deterrence, while the other side may say it inhuman. In my point of view, I do not believe that the implementation of death penalty is effective in reducing crime rate in Malaysia because of several reasons which will be further discuss in this essay. I agree with the law that people who commit crimes need to be punished for their wrong doings but I do not agree with the way that the law thinks that problem should be handled through the death
