Concealed Carry
Concealed carry is carrying a handgun or other weapon in public that is concealed. In 2003, the state of Colorado legalized the use of concealed carry, and a few years later in 2007, a man who was carrying a concealed weapon in church shot a man that opened fire in the church saving countless lives. In 2013, Illinois became the last state to legalize concealed carry, but with all of the gun violence in today’s world many are looking to end the use of concealed weapons and their permits. In states that do not allow concealed carry, the amount of robberies were one hundred five percent higher than states that allowed concealed carry. If you have a weapon, you may already have the upper hand on a criminal. Criminals will always have weapons even if they are illegal, so you should always be a step ahead of them. If you are somewhere you are not familiar with and have a weapon on you, it provides safety for anything you are not expecting. If a crime does happen, having a weapon on you is faster than any police response. When the police arrive to the scene, the criminal will most likely be gone and you will be dead or injured unless you have a weapon. The use of a concealed weapon has been proven more than once in stopping what could have been a mass shooting. All it takes is one good guy with a gun to take down one bad guy with a gun. It only takes a small weapon to protect yourself and have an advantage over criminals. There are countless mass shootings in the United States every year and banning concealed weapons is not the answer. Bad guys will always have guns, so why shouldn’t
