Marijuana is usually used for stress relief and to simply just get your mind off a lot of daily obstacles and long term problems. Meanwhile, smoking cigarettes can blacken your lungs and lead to lung cancer. Statistics show smoking is responsible for more than 480,000 deaths per year in the United States, while also showing more than 41,000 deaths from secondhand smoke exposure. Many people shine the light of hate on the negatives and cons of the legalization of Marijuana. There are many good pros and positives about legalizing this earthly herb. Many surgeon generals have made comments on the pros of marijuana. Marijuana is said to have the user confused with short term memory loss. Researchers have also commented that users cannot function properly while drugged. For example, users are usually unlikely to do or find important things such as their cell phones or car keys. The National Drug Control Policy is highly against the drug marijuana. Many of the employees and directors have spoken out on the cons of marijuana. These opinions are well rounded and believable to a certain extent, however the NDCP are not stressing Cigarettes.
