Many people say that marijuana is a “safe” drug, but it isn't. Despite Marijuana being a safer stimulant than other illegal drugs marijuana has various medical drawbacks.Over that past couple of years marijuana has gained much controversy over its use both medically and recreationally and many still debate till this day. In reality medical marijuana might not even be a proper alternative for medicine in the first place. Although marijuana has medically helped many struggling with disease, cannabis can have serious repercussions that may contradict its use in the first place.

Using medical cannabis just like any pharmaceutical drugs has its drawbacks which could seriously affect you. Intoxication, one of the major side affects of marijuana that gives them a feeling of an addicting high that people will crave and can get addicted to .Besides intoxication other side effects of medical cannabis are as follows“ Common side effects include dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, disorientation, euphoria, confusion, and sedation...Marijuana, like all drugs, has potential risks. It causes an increase in heart rate, which may increase the chance of heart attack in people who are already at risk. Regular smoking of marijuana is associated with breathing problems such as cough and increased risk of lung infections. It can also be addicting and can interfere with work, school, and relationships.” Clueless to why we would use this narcotic as a form of medicine people misunderstand its use medically condemn it without looking at its medical value. It has many medical uses just as followed “Effects of marijuana can include reduction in pain, nausea, vomiting, and muscle spasms as well as increased appetite.” Nonetheless the quarrel regarding the legality of marijuana depends on whether the the pros of cannabis outweigh the cons.
