Marijuana or more commonly known as weed is the most illicit drug used in the US. Marijuana is still yet to be legal. Marijuana refers to the dried leaves, flowers, stems, and seeds from the hemp plant, Cannabis sativa. The plant contains the mind-altering chemical tetrahydrocannabinol and other related compounds. (“Drug Facts” Par 1). In the 19th century several poets explored the use of weed along with millions of people today.
Les Paradis Artificiels is a book by French poet Charles Baudelaire, first published in 1860, about the state of being under the influence of opium and hashish. Daisy is a cancer patient who was diagnosed at the age of 28. She had five rounds of chemotherapy and five rounds of radiation, none of which had work to stop her cancer. After trying Marijuana went into remission just 2 months later and was in remission for the next two years. This year marijuana was on the ballet in five states to be legalized. Only four of the five states got passed for legalization. Arizona is that one state that did not get passed. Even though it didn’t get passed that is not going to stop anyone from using it. Pot is one of the cheapest and easiest drugs to get ahold of.
