Long term learning is a program that is prevalent in our schools and Universities. This program was initially inducted by the University of Delaware. Its aim is to encourage students to keep learning in spite of any hindrances or barriers they might face. These hindrances might be relocation, prolonged illness, economic condition, incarceration, etc. This program has potential; it has enabled students continue their learning and earning diplomas/degrees through distant education or online courses. The awareness radius of such programs should be widened to the general population. This practice should move from running PowerPoint slides with voiceovers to storyboard type training environments.
Community Colleges are a great way to pursue higher education. They provide good standards of education and at a reduced cost. They also focus on vocational courses.
