Perhaps the voting age should be lowered to sixteen because of psychological and reasonable facts. Furthermore, voting at an early age will lead to to a lifetime of political involvement.

Unfortunately, most people believe that those who are sixteen and seventeen are too young to be franchised. Some even describe them as being ¨overwhelmingly irresponsible.¨ Equally important, young voters might make a decision that they would regret in ten years. In a like manner, many believe teens are too lazy and careless to vote. To conclude my argument, voting age in America should be lowered to sixteen years old because some teenagers care about their country, officials, and the laws that affect them. Research has been done by experts, programs have been established, and teens have been pushing for a lower voting age since the 1970s. To some the decision may seem careless to let adolescents vote, but to some they believe it will lead to a lifetime of political involvement.
Lack of concern could be a major issue with the American voter, and bringing down the voting age is one way to energize political
