Is coal worth the affects that it causes? It's true that coal generates forty percent of the energy

the we use in America but is it worth it? The miners could get diseases and possibly evan death,

a high rate of pollution caused by coal smog, and animals hurt because of the expansion of, so

why do we still continue.

I think coal expansion should stop because it causes health illnesses or even death for the

miners. Mining coal should stop because it could lead to a miner getting a serious illness or

possibly even death. The Lancet, summarizes the burden of the health effects of generating

electricity from coal and lignite. The author estimate that for every TWH(terawatt-hour) of

This shows that mining coal causes many diseases that could kill the miners working on mining.

Miners also run the risk of respiratory damage through the high levels of dust and other chemical

particulates present in deep coal mining facilities. Some of the disorders caused by these

particulates include COPD, coal worker's pneumoconiosis (CWP, also known as black lung),

and progressive massive fibrosis (PMF). The threat of damage to hearing is also a constant

concern as the equipment miners work around is quite
