America: The Beacon of Hope To many, America is considered the greatest country in the world; a place where anyone’s dreams can come true, a beacon of light in a world of oppression. Open doors give everyone the chance to enter, with a chance at a better life, with the mentality that working hard will let you succeed, building America up from the original 13 colonies to the 50 states we have today. However, in recent times there has been a change in people’s frame of mind, and as a result America has started to slip from its number one status.
America is not the favored country by other countries, as seen in the essays by both Dinesh D’Souza and Mark Hertsgaard. In the article “The Oblivious Empire” by Hertsgaard and the article “America The Beautiful: What We’re Fighting For”, they lay out how America is viewed by other countries and how we interact with them. Both certainly state their opinion very clearly and concisely; they state that something needs to be done about the way we act overseas. Their ideas on how to remedy this situation are vastly different. D’Souza states that we need to heavily enforce our place overseas while Hertsgaard states that we should try to be politer and be careful when dealing and going overseas.
America has often been referred to as the land of dreams by many different cultures. The early nineteen hundreds gave the margins of society a different perspective on what the American dream consisted of. The idea of the American dream is central to Zitkala-Sa’s Impressions of an Indian Childhood and Mary Antin’s The Promised Land. America is seen as a land that offers opportunity, equality, liberty and happiness. America is essentially the symbol of a better life.
In early 1800s, Founding Fathers watched how people are misusing not having legitimate government to stop them for doing wrongdoings. However, the Founders envisioned America having secure life and freedom. As of 2017, American government provides safety to people by having police and immediate help, we also freedom that helps us to express ourselves. For many years, and years to come, America has been a country that many people like to visit and enjoy. We are very patriotic here in America, many people believe in our country’s ways and leaders. People enjoy visiting America not only because of our wonderful land and nature, but also because people like to see what it is like to be free and to have freedom of expression and all of those amendments that make our country free and great. Though we do have great lands and an extremity of beautiful nature surrounding us, especially here in Michigan. The America I believe in What do you think of America? Well, I believe that America will come together and make peace in the nation worldwide. The nation is important to the world, worldwide for everyone and its society. Society means the world coming together in a community.
.America is the land of opportunity to many individuals. It gives people a chance to become who they really desire to be. That idea though, is not always true. What sometimes occurs is that people who want to become a true American make themselves believe that the only way to do so is by becoming powerful and losing the morals that they were taught. What has been ingrained in much of society is that if one does not do one of those things they are lesser than the ones who do.
The America I believe in is a wonderful place, much like childhood, where our country is spared from everything else going around it. Safe from the danger, and oblivious to anything else that might harm us, yet still cautious to be safe. The America I believe in would be safe, no one having to worry about getting hurt just by going outside, and while this may be nearly impossible, I believe our country, being one of a kind, can accomplish this. Our country is free, yet safe, advanced, yet modest, and for these reasons I have faith that America can pick itself up when it falls and keep going as though it never happened, can continue to advance despite threats from elsewhere, and despite what happens, our country has left a mark on this world,
Other countries and groups point of view of America is the total opposite of ours. Some of the countries are Palestinian Territories, Pakistan, Lebanon,Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, Slovenia, Iran, and Tunisia. People who live in America wonder why all the other countries hate us; moreover, it’s the way we handle our leadership. "They 've had enough of the New World Order. And an alliance of 133 countries, two-thirds of the nations on Earth, signed an agreement this weekend to end the New World Order.”
America is considered “The New World” to many. It is a new beginning for many immigrants. They look to this land to escape their past. They have a heart and soul full of hope. They were determined to have a new life.
Soldiers businessmen workers politicians and even new citizens that immigrated to this country they all have had a duty since the birth of this nation they have worked hard to benefit themselves and future generations to come. What does America mean to me when I think of this country that I 've had the privilege to be raised in the first things that come to mind are the three things that were written in the United States Declaration of Independence by Thomas Jefferson over 200 years ago life Liberty and the pursuit of happiness I also think America is more than just those there words but can be summed up by one opportunity. “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare is a play that explores the differing representation of the two main settings. The city is seen as the “real” world where there are issues and resolutions that are rational, whilst the forest is seen as the “realm of dreams and imagination” and is where humans don’t have jurisdiction over what happens. This difference in worlds is shown when the protagonists act against their taught social and gender normalities when in the forest. The disparity between these two settings is reinforced when the fairies are present in the forest, with their actions having large impacts on the other protagonists. In the play the city is seen as real due to laws that are introduced that were most likely enforced
