Law Enforcement has come a long way in the world we live in today, predictive policing is a way that Police Officers can have a better prediction where criminal activity is happening the area people live in. Predictive Policing isn’t an easy task, Police Officers must know the area they work in to learn where the bad and good spots of criminal activity are. For example, if the Police Officers work in Spokane Washington trying to find a certain drug dealer and the west side is known for drugs activity, their prediction is to have more patrols around that area to find the dealer. Law Enforcement has a better understanding of predictions because they will save all the data from prior criminal and drug cases to get information for related cases that happens in the future.
Predictive Policing Goals & Objectives Law Enforcement objective for predictive policies is to find a smoother and quicker way to predict the future of criminal justice. Some of the goal’s law enforcement can improve is to reduced criminal activity is to have monthly meetings with the people in the area that police officers work in and have a discussion of the pros and cons. Police Officers should go by the evidence they encounter at the scene, not using predictions. My opinion predictive policing will ruin how the community looks at law enforcement and what we stand for, as police officers we are them to protect and serve the community we are in. Predictive Policing program is a very good idea to use to find where criminal activity is happening, but we must be careful how police pursue the outcome, so it doesn’t affect our relationship with the people of the
