Pro-Separating Families Lets adopt a policy to kick out all illegal immigrants, deport any non-American citizens because we are Americans and you know where Americans came from? Our parents, where did our parents come from? Their parents and where did their parents come from? Their parents! All the way down the generation to when their ancestors immigrated to America. The irony is that even when we know this, we still feel entitles to decline anyone else that wants to immigrate to America. Although not everyone believes the immigration policy should stay this way there are still the handful that does. Trying to avoid the stereotype that all immigrants are criminals, Lamar might have a point, because in some way they are taking away our jobs. They're damaging American citizens by taking the jobs no American wants to take. Statistic on the occupation with illegal immigrants show that 25% are involved with agriculture, 19% building and ground maintenance, 17% constructions, 12% peep/service, and 10% manufacturing (Gonzalez 10). Some American citizens still believe we have a reason to say they're taking from us. Majority of these illegal immigrants want what every other American wants. Be with their family, feel safe and secure where they are, and just know that they're in a place that they feel happy to call home. The only difference between illegal immigrants and Americans is the label. The label, and the stereotypes that we set for them to have this bad prejudged script of who they are. One of the biggest stereotypes of immigrants today is that they are single men on their own with no wives or children (Gonzalez 9).
