Pros And Cons Of Protesting Police Violence

There have been several arguments regarding protesting police violence. For decades, the constant battle of whether or not protesting is effective has been tarnishing our communities. It has been lots positive and negative effects when it comes to protesting police violence. The very first protest was held in 1913 in South Africa. Protesting has became a good way to unify not just the African American communities but all of the communities. Demanding change and different outcomes, citizens within the communities ban together in hopes of finding common ground. By taking a knee or locking arms during the national anthem is showing the world what the true problem is in our society, but that is not the only reason they are taking a knee. By taking a knee it has made the African Americans come together and protest for the same thing, but it has not just brought the African Americans together but it has brought other races together as well. They aren’t just protesting for police violence, but also because of the awful things Trump has been saying to the players and the coaches. Trump feels as if taking a knee is being “disrespectful” to the flag, but in the end it has nothing to do with the flag of the United States.
