The Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners (Board) is a state appointed committee comprised of nine members. Six of the individuals are licensed by the board and three are members of the public who have no financial or business ties to the field of healthcare. The purpose of the board is to issue and review licensure of psychologists and behavioral analysts, as well as review complaints against these individuals. An Enforcer inquiry was conducted to determine if any members of the 110 Detective Squad ran the name "Shawn Thomas" from 2100 hours on 06/08/2015 - 2100 hours on 06/09/2015. The Enforcer Check revealed that two (2) members of the 110 Squad ran the name "Shawn Thomas", Det. Kelly and Det. Patel (formerly assigned to the 110th Squad). The Terminal Man, a novel written by Michael Crichton, is a science-fiction novel which focuses on neuroscience (the scientific study of the nervous system). The novel mainly focuses on a man named Harold (Harry) Franklin Benson. Benson, a thirty-four-year-old computer scientist, suffers from what Crichton describes as "thought seizures"(which are violent blackouts) and is diagnosed with psychomotor epilepsy. Psychomotor epilepsy is a seizure disorder produced by abnormal electrical discharges in the temporal lobe, which is Benson's case was caused by a car crash he was involved in. Benson believes that, "...ultimately machines will take over the world"(Crichton 17).
The social worker did not handle the case correctly or completely. Herman obviously had some social issues, and showed signs of psychological problems. No action was taken on account of those possible problems. No supervision or consultation was exercised in this case, even though the social worker did not know precisely what should have been done. Though the senior center director seemed to care more about her job than about Herman, she was simply following protocol that comes with her occupation.

The character that I chose to observe and analyze was Billy Bibbit. Billy is a young man who struggles to speak without stuttering and make his own decisions. He seeks approval from those around him and is always worried he will disappoint those around him. Although some people at this psychiatric ward are committed, Billy is a voluntary patient.
