Psychology Capstone Project Report

For my Capstone Project I will be shadowing Mr.Borkowski to learn about what it’s like to work as a psychology teacher. The reason why I became interested in shadowing our schools psychology teacher is due to the fact that, after taking the “Intro to Psychology” class in school this year, I became infatuated with the subject. Everything about the subject interested me greatly, from the theories of how humans develop, methods of conditioning a person to react when exposed to a certain stimuli, etc. so I decided to do my topic on the career path of a “Psychology teacher” as my topic for this project. This is due to the fact that, this will allow me to learn more about what a career path is psychology will look like and what type of work is required

To elaborate, when it comes to choosing a college one needs to pick majors and decide what career path they want to strive for however, even though I love psychology as a topic I don’t know anything about what it’s like to implement it in a work scenario. So by the end of this project I hope to get at least the basic understanding of how one uses their knowledge of psychology in a workplace and based upon how I feel afterwards I will be able to truly see if a career in psychology is the right choice for me. Overall, this project will be a learning stretch for me due to the fact that I’ve never done anything like this project before in my life. To elaborate, usually when it comes to projects it involves a topic that everyone is doing as well but in this case everyone is doing their topic on a different career path, all have different responses to said career path, and have different experiences in said work field. Thus, making this project a little harder to do because one can’t compare their findings to someone else's even if they are shadowing a mentor who is in the same field as mine because they’ll have a different outlook on the career than
