a. The purpose of conducting the analysis is to become knowledgeable of who, what, when, why and decisions behind course content, design and development. Also, to determine whether the QA findings meet the definition of compliance or non-compliance.
b. Regardless of the type of evaluation, a review of the audit trail is a must. It is the only means of ascertaining that the Regiment QA NCO or QA Evaluators are evaluating the approved training with the corresponding courseware. The depth of review may vary. For example, for daily training observations, only the POI, course management plan, and a lesson plan, may be necessary. The Regiment QA NCO or QA Evaluators must ensure that the documents obtained are current.

The report is presented to the regiment commander for discussion, possible refinement, and decisions about implementation (timing, resources, etc.).
c. The regimental commander may share the report or portions of it with the staff and faculty as appropriate or required. d. Follow-up evaluation will be conducted at the discretion of the Regiment QA NCO or QA Evaluator (s) within three to six months following the regimental commander approval of the recommendations. The follow-up evaluation ensures that approved recommendations have been implemented. The follow-up may require observations of training, document reviews, discussions with Point of Contacts (POCs), or any other action necessary to ensure recommendations have been implemented. The follow-up report should address any approved recommendations that have not been acted upon.
e. The Regiment QA NCO or QA Evaluator (s) maintains a master file of completed evaluations. This file includes the original copy of the evaluation report and any pertinent documentation that may follow. Record copies of the report and all correspondence generated during the evaluation are kept in the Regiment QA NCO files. All working papers, to include course documentation, completed data collection instruments, data summaries, etc., should be kept by the RTI Operations Officer and the Regiment QA NCO for one
