Quality education for all citizens at all levels is the mandate of the constitution of the Republic of the Philippines. As stipulated in Article XIV, Section 1 of the 1987 constitution: “The state shall protect and promote the rights of all citizens to quality education at all levels and shall take appropriate steps to make such education accessible to all.” Education is essential for everyone. Education helps people earn respect and recognition. It is indispensable in all aspect of life (personally, socially, physically, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually). However, the unequal standard of education is still a major problem that needs to be solved. Education plays a rudimentary role in our society that we cannot even imagine how life could be without it. It is a determined element for the civilization of human society. It does not only help us develop healthy surroundings but it also generates an advance community. As a matter of fact, everything we create today is based on the knowledge that we obtain throughout our life by way of education. The more developed life becomes, the more necessary education is for everyone. A study of Mathematics will help understand and appreciate our environment. If we are to play an intelligent part in the activities of the world around us, we must be able to interpret and to use mathematical concept and relationship.
