Renaissance Historical Report Queen Elizabeth I was born on September 7, 1533 in Greenwich England. She was the daughter of King Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn. King Henry had not yet divorced Katherine of Aragon at the time and had changed the religion of the country just only to have another daughter. Everyone expected a boy when King Henry and Anne had a child. As any royal child she received tutoring and excelled at languages and music. At the age of 2 she had lost her mother due to beheading from King Henry based on questionable charges of adultery and conspiracy. Not long after her mother’s death, Elizabeth and her half-sister Mary were declared illegitimate to the throne as her father sought to find a male heir. Two years later Jane gave birth to Henry’s longed for son, Prince Edward. Elizabeth went through the care of multiple step-mothers as years went by due to King Henry’s wrath against his wives. Later on Henry grew very ill leaving the throne in idle. He died on January 28th, 1547. This would drastically change both Elizabeth and Prince Edwards lives leaving them as orphans. In her teenage years it was said that Elizabeth did not want anything to do with marriage. She has grown scared from her previous experiences with his mother’s beheading and believes it would happen to her if she was to be wed. Soon Prince Edward dies and the lineage to the throne would be questioned again. Elizabeth ascends the throne once Mary has died on November 17th, 1558. Now twenty five years old, for the first time, Elizabeth’s destiny lay on her own hands and becomes Queen of England also known as Queen Elizabeth I. As queen she has accomplished numerous
