The organization that I chose to examine is Quicken Loans. Quicken Loans is one of the top companies in Detroit and employs over 16,000 people in Detroit alone. The mission of the company is to hire and retain happy employees, which in turn will enable them to perform well in their position. The main money-making area of Quicken Loans is mortgage banking, with thousands of refinance and purchase loans being written every single day. The many loans coming in and being executed stems from great customer experience and the opportunity to work with the same company from start to finish on one of the biggest purchases you make in your whole life. Therefore, Quicken Loans is the number one lender in America, and will continue to grow and get better. The company values their customers business and really gets invested in their lives and getting to know them as more than a client, forming a lifelong relationship. The purpose of the recruiters within HR is solely to get people in the door that are suited for the job that needs to be filled. They also set up the interviews and run things like background and drug tests. This function of HR is pretty much the same across any company, as all companies need new employees and someone to sit down, research and find them. Recruiters from many companies also use college career days as good networking opportunities, and Quicken Loans is no exception to this.
