Quintilian Pedagogical Rhetoric Analysis

In Quintilian’s book called “Institutio Oratoria”, is basically a series of twelve books that present the practices of rhetoric in the ancient Roman world. Quintilian agrees that the rhetoric education of an orator begins as a young boy. This shows that Quintilian does not recognize women in his definition of student and man throughout the texts. The first parts of the book discuss the basics of pedagogical rhetoric. Even though the text is largely based on the practice and theory of rhetoric, Quintilian also discusses a number of aspects of pedagogical development in the context of the early roman culture. In this essay, I will analyze the post colonial aspects of Quintilian’s arguments in this book and emphasize on how the exclusion of women
