The play Inherit The Wind was based on the Scopes Monkey trial thirty years before the book was written in 1995 by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee. Inherit The Wind explores how government and society suppress freedom speech. It is important to recognize that issues conveyed in the play about the Scopes Monkey Trial parallel the challenges being faced by the arts community in 1955.
The character’s in my book are very asociated with power and where they stand in the Empire. All these character’s have different levels of power. For example some of these characters that come to mind. Laia has the least power is a past slave scholar which isn’t very high in rank. Then Elias was a former mask who is now a “traitor” of the Empire.
I think it is logical to keep learning. I also think it is logical to keep trying new things. I think it also establishes ethos because most people who try new things are better than they used to be. If we keep learning we can be better than we used to be too. Ethos shows the credibility that this quote
This quote is powerful because it claims that humans are mind over matter. Whatever you think will be, will be. Author and Rhodes scholar Wes Moore was reassured in military school that he should be respected, so he respected himself. The other Wes was constantly being told he was a delinquent, and so he acted like one. Wes also claims that humans “will do what others expect of [them], agreeing with Horace’s statement that how humans live life comes from what expectations are projected on them (Moore 126).
Today people are not doing as well with other people because they can shut down their ideas ect. People need to be on their own sometimes to accomplish big dreams. Ludwig Van Beethoven relates to this quote because he has walked alone in his life being a musical artist. Beethoven walked alone because he was the first to create this kind of music in his era. “His father, a court musician, subjected him to a brutal regimen hoping to exploit him as a child prodigy” (Columbia 1).
Atticus is a courageous man and is also a good influencer to his kids, Scout and Jem. He teaches them that everyone matters in this world no matter how different someone can be. Harper Lee writes, "This case, Tom Robinson's case, is something that goes to the essence of a man's conscience-Scout, I couldn’t go to church if I didn't try to help that man."(104). This quote shows how much Atticus wanted to help out Tom even if he knows that the outcome will still be the same but if he at least tries he will not live with the guilt inside of him for the rest of his life. Not only did Atticus show courage, Boo Radley did as well.
The rich leaders of this country are blinded by money and power, whereas The common people who struggle, can see clearly. This is shown in literature such as The biography of Frederick Douglas. Frederick Douglas along with the other slaves wanted to be left alone and left at peace but the powerful owners were peace less and hard on the slaves. A motto that I created to describe this is "the peaceful are powerless, because the powerful are peace less".
Slopes of War Literary Analysis “Listen and watch the world around you. Try to understand why things happen. Don’t be satisfied with answers others give you… work to get answers on your own. Understand why you believe things.” –Avi Slopes of War, a novel by N.A. Two literary works that support this quote are “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson and Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. In both story’s the societies believe in an unjust authority which ultimately
Progress is impossible without change and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything. This quote shows just how “normal” people think in this society. They would rather not think about anything and just continue with their daily lives than to actually think about the world or
There are jobs that changes the past like changing important documents, history books, and a lot more. I will go more deeper into the meaning of this quote and tell you how it ties into real life. The people in this book are brainwashed. They do not have the ambition and drive to do anything but go by there schedule.
(Analysis) This quote shows that if one joins together with a community, everyone will benefit rather than trying to stand

This quote really embodies my message, and the manner in which, I believe, my community should carry themselves. The impression of the matter is people in my community often do kind things just for recognition. If I had the authority, I would ensure that they are carried out for long periods of time rather than once or twice. If I had the authority to change this about my community I
