In today’s society, racial profiling is shoved away as if it does not exist to most people but the reality is that it is present everywhere. Within the last decade three big events have became the cause of visibility to those who were blind: The Ferguson Case, the Zimmerman Trial, and the 9/11 terrorist attack. No matter what the 13th amendment says, justice will always be questioned when dealing with cases including citizens who are not white going against white law enforcers. In the image of Peter Griffin from “Family Guy,”Seth MacFarlane, the creator, uses a passive aggressive comical attempt to show the real life issue between law enforcement and racism.

It shows that police are more suspicious of individuals who are not white. This can relate back to the real troubles of the case in Ferguson. The Ferguson incident brought attention to civil rights investigations although the evidence was not clear enough to accuse the officer of acting inappropriately.The thought behind this picture is that the police’s evidence to pull someone over would not be lawful but based on discrimination. It is powerful because it makes the problem clear to people who would normally not find themselves thinking in depth about issues such as these. When people realize that this is real and not just a funny scene in a television episode, more solutions and peace will be made in the future.
