In the television show, South Park, issues fear of people from other countries, race, and social changes in reaction to multiculturalism in a small town of South Park, Colorado as a comedy. Under the humor in the television show, South Park, the concept of race is portrayed in America that Americans hate and stereotype minority due to the fear of losing their livelihood and socioeconomic status. Today, many Americans fear that minority groups will cause their socioeconomic benefits to decline, rather than their culture, stereotypes, and xenophobia as a defense mechanism. Due to this, this results in fear that these minority groups will end up having a higher socioeconomic status than the White Americans. A good example in this episode shows an American woman who adopts Butters Stotch, thinking that he is Mexican and attempts to teach him how to wipe her windows by saying "He'll have so much opportunity here than he ever would in Mexico." (Season 15 Episode 9). This American woman clearly demonstrates the idea that all races are equal. She is able to recognize the fact that Butters Stotch, who is a Mexican and will be able to succeed in American with this opportunity. Also, she believes that Butters will be willing to wipe her windows clearly illustrates that Americans today still hold onto racist stereotypes. Another piece of evidence that is shown from this episode is that Randy Marsh mourns that no one is there to rake his lawn because many Mexicans went back to Mexico and relinquish their low economic professions in the United States (Season 15 Episode 9).
