Radio Show Evaluation

After presenting the mid morning radio show. I am now going to evaluate my work including all aspects like the proposal, research, production, feedback and all of the strengths & weaknesses I had as a presenter.

For my primary research I conducted a questionnaire. This was effective because it helped me find out that a radio show themed around gaming could be successful. I came to this conclusion because a lot of people were interested in my idea for this show. Also through secondary research I increased my knowledge of how to deliver a successful piece of news and a good quality review, this proved to be effective in my radio show as it increased its quality. This made my preparation successful as it helped prepare me for the different things I was going to talk about in my show. The pre-production was very helpful. This included things like the que sheet and running order. These two were particularly helpful as it helped give me a better understanding of the final, overall shows structure so I knew what individual topics went where, when to play things like jingles and music. Some of the time I could have talked with some more confidence. I often sounded a little nervous or quiet. This is one of my weaknesses. However one thing that I did doo well was mostly keeping the same volume, although like I just stated I was sometimes a bit quiet, it never sounded like I was to close to the microphone, or too far away and there was never a time I talked too loudly. I could have changed the tone of my voice though. Although I did try to change it some of the time, after listening back I think I sounded too bland too often so this is one thing I would improve on next time.
