Training new employees is the best way to get him or her adjusted to his or her new job position. This is the proposal that I am going to make to the supervisor for a training workshop. The position that the training would be used on is a Radiology Technologist position. The work shop will include a mix of face to face and online learning. The learning objectives that I would like to touch on are Patient Privacy, computer systems, equipment usage and knowing your location. I feel that this training workshop would really benefit the new employee as well as the hospital. When the tech is finished with the workshop they should be able to start working with no problems.
The workshop is going to be both face to face and online. Being a Radiology tech, we have to learn how to use the digital equipment and Picture Archiving Communication Systems (PACS). We also need to know how we need to know how to give patients the best possible care. Having both types of training also breaks up the monotonous of just one or the other keeping the new employees engaged.
Learning about patient privacy will be the first part of the workshop. This part will be conducted online. Every employee needs to know about HIPAA. They need to know when they are violating a patient’s privacy and the precautions for doing so.

With the Radiology field becoming more digital knowing all the systems and how they are connected will work best. This type of learning will be similar to that of the flipped learning model. The employee will be given an introduction to the systems and then will be given tasks to do in front of the trainer. This method will allow the employee to ask question about how or what they need to be doing, but they won’t be sitting through an entire PowerPoint presentation. Once he or she feels comfortable and is able to demonstrate the tasks given then they will move on to the
