Edward Kelly, more commonly known as Ned Kelly, was a wild colonial boy from the 1800’s. Ned Kelly was also a villain, killing three men, robbing two banks, stealing countless amounts of horses and cattle and attempting to murder almost thirty policemen.

In the year of 1878, at Stringybark Creek, Ned Kelly made a murderous decision. The young Kelly lead his gang of bushrangers into a police camp, planning to rob them of their supplies. Within a minute of the stick up, one of the policemen had been killed. Shot dead by Ned Kelly himself. The other man present at the time had surrendered, terrified by the Kelly gang. As the other policemen returned to their camp, they were horrified to find that they had been surrounded by the Kelly gang, and one colleague was dead. The policemen shot back, trying to defend themselves. Ned shot both men, hitting Constable Kennedy in the shoulder, and killing Constable Lonigan instantly. Ned Kelly then shot Kennedy again, as he was surrendering. These actions show how ruthless and murderous Ned Kelly was. …show more content…

They robbed a bank in Euroa. gaining two-hundred pounds. This large amount of money wasn’t enough for the Kelly Gang, as in the same year, they robbed yet another bank in Jerilderie. They stole, again, two-hundred pounds. These flawless robberies were accomplished by kidnapping each person who was near the robbers desired destination. In some cases, this included the whole town, wandering hawkers, and even the towns police force. These innocent people were kept captive by the Kelly gang for periods of time ranging from hours, to days on end. Ned Kelly had no right to remove these people from their homes, proving how much Ned ignored the needs of others, and only looked out for
