Rapture And Other Side Comparison Essay

Let’s do another side by side comparison and show that this verse is referring to the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ back to the earth, where all eyes shall see him and mourn when he appears. None of these details occur at the Rapture. Once again, Matthew 24:29-31 is not complete unless we take the other Gospel accounts, precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little and there a little, for a complete picture.

Grab “the key” and let’s go over there a little, and then come back over here a little (Isaiah 28:9-13).
“When the Son of Man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats” Matthew 25:31-32 KJV

Well, for starters, as we previously mentioned, Matthew 25:31-32 reveals that the angels are gathering all the elect from all “the nations” to be brought before Christ for judgment. It is ridiculous to claim the angels are going out to gather us up in the Rapture, for it violates all the other scriptures that say something else. In fact, even in I Thessalonians 4:16, it says, “the Lord himself shall descend,” and there are not any specific details that the angels of God are doing the “catching of us up.” Rather, “the Lord himself” is doing the catching. Scripture just says we “shall be caught up” (I Thessalonians 4:17), not that the angels are gathering us up. Yes there is the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, but there is not any mention of the angels catching us up. We believe that the “archangel” is Michael, and he accompanies the Lord to this great event, blows the trumpet, and the Lord does the
