REAL ESTATE INVESTORS QUESTIONAIRE
1) How did you get your start in Real estate? I have nearly 15 years of professional real estate experience, which commenced in 2003 when I joined Trammell Crow in the Property Management division. Although, the seeds of my real estate journey were truly planted at 5 or 6 years old when my grandfather would take me with him to build a house from the ground up for one of his closest friends.
2) How did you get your start in real estate investing? I started as an investor in 2005. I think my most successful strategy is to build personal relationships with the target of the projects I engage in. Through experience I have also been able to build a solid network of lenders and investors that allow us to close on deals fast.
9) Describe your most challenging project so far. Why was it challenging and how did you handle it? My post challenging project so far is a condo conversion I am working on in NW DC. Due to zoning law changes, permitting, and requests from the government to change our plans multiple times, the project has been significantly delayed.
10) Have you ever run short on a budget for a flip? If so how did you handle it? Would you have done something else? Yes, we have run slightly short before dues to unforeseen sewage and water main issues that cause a significant amount of additional work beyond the original scope of work. Unfortunately, I had to utilize my personal funds and business cash reserves to complete the remaining work.
11) Describe a situation where you had to manage a highly demanding client. What did you do to meet their needs without going insane? Fortunately, I haven’t experienced such an issue. Most of our projects are done for our in-house investment
