Introduction Socialization is the process in which we learn at young age into adulthood to be socially inclined with one and others.
There are four agents that make up socialization which family, peer groups, school, and the mass media. These agents are essential in the beginning of childhood into adulthood. Family is considered the most important socialization agent in society. Socialization is what form and shape us into socially accepted people in society. Mass media has also contributed a large part of socialization amongst teenagers and others. Mass media has shown its way through reality TV shows, movies, popular music and websites, in which all influence our social life. Although mass media can be beneficial it can also be very contradicting and conflicting. While reality TV shows have increased amongst the population, it is still questioned if it is influential or negatively impacted today.
