"Hate is a very strong word on its own, added with the word you, it's intense. Imagine how bad it is if the word hate is paired with the word myself"
Self-loathing is the infamous cause of many cases of depression and anxiety. There are so many reasons of self loathing. Today, I want to point out three of the most common ones. First, personal problems such as conflict between friends or between your own family. Many teenagers go through depression because of the pressure that their cliques or families have put on them. When they fail on meeting these standards, they get really hard on themselves to the point of hate. Comparing is also one of the many reasons of self-loathing. Comparison can be good for some people. They might use it as inspiration to be better. But it becomes toxic when these people never get contented with their accomplishments because they keep comparing what they don't have to what the other has. They keep on changing themselves to a point that they lose their purpose and forget who they really are. And lastly the most famous reason of self- hatred is when people attack fellow human beings, in other words bullying. In this century, people are so reliant on technology and social media. These concepts were made so humans can have better communication and connections. It did help us attain these purpose but some people figured to use it as a way of hurting another individual just so they can feel better about themselves. Most cyber bullying are verbal abuse, which makes it worse. Remember that the injuries that punches makes takes a few weeks to heal but words are forever carved in a person's mind. They may be really close to you and they make you happy, but trust me, you'll be so much better off without them. These kinds of people are toxic and they are absolutely not worth your time. (3.) Forgive yourself. Think of something that you deeply regret. Whether it is about what you did to your parents, friends, or significant other. Reflect about what went wrong; what you did wrong, be sorry about it, learn from it, and never do it again. (4.) Do what makes you happy. Make a list. Grab your iPad or your notepad or even your hand and draw up a list of things you can do today to make you feel good. Keep adding to the list. Be sure that this things are good for you, it won't hurt you, and it will only do good for you. Forgive yourself if you skip a couple and love yourself no matter how long or short the list is and how much you accomplish on it. You will not be graded or tested on this list. Do something new every single day that makes you feel good. It doesn't have to be super crazy. Whatever it takes, just do it. I am sure that everyone here has a plan
