One spring morning at eight o’clock, Danny woke up from sleep very bright. He was happy because he was going to park to play ball with his best friend, Molly the sheep. He gobbled his peanut butter and jelly sandwich and gulped his milk. He wore his clothes and new shoes that he got for his fourth birthday gift. (Page 2) Danny grabbed his purple ball, kissed mommy goodbye and rode his bike toward the park. Danny was riding to the park and singing a song with spark, while he felt the sky gets dark. (Page 3) Suddenly he saw a lightning, heard a thunder so frightening, and the sky started pouring rain. Danny got really upset because his clothes and new shoes got wet. (Page 5) Danny was sad, very very sad. He was cold, wet, tired and lonely. He was disappointed that Molly didn’t come to the Park. He got so angry and he kicked his purple ball. (Page 6) He decided to ride back to his home, but he found that his ball is not there anymore. “Oh no!” sighed Danny looking around to find his ball. (Page 7) Danny couldn’t find his ball and that made him even sadder. “This is the worst day ever.” Thought Danny. He felt really sad, he curled his lips and he burst into tears with the sound of a thunder. (Page 8) While Danny’s tears were coming down like the raindrops, he saw Mr. Owl flying toward treetops. Danny took a deep breath and called him. “Mr. Owl would you help me please?” Asked Danny with a shaking voice. (Page 9) “Yes Danny, what’s the matter?” said Mr. Owl. Danny took another deep breath. “I lost my purple ball at the park, can you help me find it? Asked Danny. Mr. Owl flew to a tree and sat on a branch.
