Leporello is a Giovanni’s servant. Commendatore is Don Pedro. Anna is Commendatore’s daughter. Ottavio is Anna’s fiancé. Elvira is a lady whom abandoned by Giovanni. Masetto is a peasant. Anna appears with Ottavio and sees her father lying dead. The Commendatore’s blood is everywhere. Anna and Ottavio think to revenge on unknown murderer. Giovanni and Leporello find a woman, Donna Elvira. She is an earlier victim of Giovanni. When they both recognize each other, Giovanni informs Leporello to tell the truth of Giovanni to Elvira. After that, Masetto and Zerlina enters and Giovanni is attracted to Zerlina after he sees her. Giovanni invites them to his castle to have a wedding celebration. Giovanni plans to take Zerlina. Masetto realizes that Giovanni wants her and becomes angry. However, Masetto is forced to leave, and Giovanni and Zerlina stay together. Elvira comes and leaves with Zerlina. Giovanni orders Leporello to bring some clothes. Elvira comes to her window. Giovanni sends Leporello out with Giovanni’s cloak and hat. Leporello is pretending to be as Giovanni. Furthermore, Masetto and his friends come to look for Giovanni in order to kill him. Giovanni pretends to be as Leporello and says that he hates Giovanni too. Suddenly, Giovanni takes Masetto’s weapon away and beats him up. He then runs away from there. When Leporello tries to escape, he meets everyone. They surround Leporello and try to kill him because they think Leporello is Giovanni. Elvira tries to protect him because she thinks he is her husband. Leporello takes Giovanni’s cloak and hat to reveal his identity. He begs for mercy and runs away from that place. Ottavio is now convinced that Giovanni killed Anna’s father. He swears to revenge on him. Zerlina follows Leporello and captures him. She threatens him with a razor. When Zerlina goes to find her friends, Leporello escapes again. Later, Giovanni tells Leporello to invite the statue to dinner. If he rejects his invitation, Giovanni tells him to kill him. The statue accepts his invitation. Elvira enters and says she no longer hates Giovanni. She only pitches for him. Giovanni then asks what she wants. She wants to change his life. However, Elvira gives up and leaves. Elvira abruptly screams very loudly.
