The value of the liberal arts education is to get a board taste in everything. I always thought as a kid that a liberal arts education was an actual art degree but I also thought it was you get an education in every aspect the college has to offer. As freshmen, you get automatically put into classes that fill some of your GenEd requirements. Some of the classes that I got put into were college writing as a Communication: Writing fulfillment. I think College Writing is importing as a GenEd requirement because they teach you how to write properly. A lot of people I know don't like or hate writing so when you get the pick your college classes some people just wouldn't do it but when its required to graduate they are forced to learn how to write properly. Knowing how to write properly is very important in any major you study in college, any field you go into has an adult and for just knowledge for the future. For a GenEd class, it is broken into 3 parts communication in writing, communication in literature, and communication in communication. This class is very important to my major because I'm in the Justice Studies program which is a lot a writing in the future for my career. for example, when I'm done working on a case I have to write a report on what happened, how we got the suspect and all that …show more content…
I really enjoy having a music class for a GenEd class because it opens your mind to music that you may like or maybe music you think you would never listen to. My experience with this class is good because I listen to mostly all the music we learn/talk about in that class and it has also opened my mind to bands I thought I would never like but to find out that I really like them. With every other important class, we have to go on in our schedule I think having a Fine and Performing art class gives us students a little
