“Each day, we will spill their blood till it rains down from the skies.” Connor and his brother Murphy feel they are “doing the right thing” by going around Boston and killing all the criminals, claiming that their religion influences them to do so. It creates many more issues in the city. The Boondock Saints is a movie about religion, family, and vigilante justice. The Boondock Saints is about two brothers named Connor and Murphy MacManus who are pushed by their religious beliefs to kill all drug dealers and gang members in the city of Boston, Massachusetts to make it a better place. They are joined by one of their good friends Rocco as they cause mayhem throughout the city. They are pursued by a homosexual FBI agent named Paul Smecker …show more content…

One scene that really stood out was when Il Duce and the two brothers are about to kill a head gang member named Yakavetta. They say, “And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee, Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patri. Et Filii. Spiritus Sancti.” This is something the brothers always say after or before they end up killing someone. There are many things the the brothers did that showed what family means to them, but one scene that really stood out was in the very beginning of the movie. When the brothers get in a big fight at the bar with russian gang members, they go back to their apartment room. The twins end up getting followed home by the people they thought they killed. The russian gang members start beating up the brothers. The members end up handcuffing Connor to the toilet in their apartment and take Murphy down to an alley to kill him. Connor rips his wrist apart, lifts the toilet off the ground and goes the the roof. He throws it off the roof to kill one of the gang members then jumps to land on the other one to kill
