Carter Peck Mrs. Judd 5th Hour English 18th May 2023 Romeo and Juilet Romeo and Juilet does make a specific moral statement about the relationship between love and society, religion, and family. It also portrays the chaos and passion of being in love, combining images of love, violence and death ,religion and family in an impressionistic rush leading to the conclusion of the story. A few lessons that Romeo and Juilet that can still teach us all something to this day and its that love at first sight isn’t actually all that reliable. Also shows how family can be very complicated and get in the way of alot of matters. That is really how it seems these days. Kids are pressured by their peers to do things as they are pressured by other sources. The conclusion of the story does come very quick and often is abrupt and the conclusion is not a happy ending with Romeo going to the tomb seeing Juliet on really dead but looking dead and relaxing he can’t live without juliet. He takes the poison and dies next to her. Then for Juilet to wake up and see Romeo dead. She kills herself with Romeo's dagger. A good universal lesson to take from Romeo and Juilet though is that love is and always will be universal. Be it social position, race, or anything else, whenever fear and hatred create barriers, love will keep on tearing them down. There is a point where I heard about star crossed lovers and was curious on what this meant.
