Religion is the belief in a god or gods and the activities that are connected with this belief, such as praying or worshipping in a building such as a church or a temple. (Collins Dictionary). Nearly all of the major religions have evolved over the centuries into what they are today. I my opinion religion has been the basic foundation of life, permeating all aspects of human existence. My religious beliefs have passed on from my parents. In fact, my family believed in the Catholic faith for many generations. As a result, parents took my sister’s and me to church every Sunday. While going to church my mother sends us to Sundays School (also referred to as Sabbath School). This a class held on to teach children about Christianity. Since I grew up in the Catholic faith I went to Catholic Primary school have I experienced the Roman Catholic indoctrination. They had a lot of stories about angels and they told us all the stories, Adam and Eve, Noah 's Ark and much more. They also taught me to accept other people 's religious beliefs.
The Catholic faith made me into the person I am today as it guides me in determining what is right and wrong as well as it helps me build meaningful relationships. It also allows me to deal with others in a fair and equal manner whether it is in work, school, and home or on the streets. Without a religious upbringing, I feel that there would have been something missing in my life.
