The Renaissance marked one of the greatest transitions from one time period to another. Known as the rebirth of classical literature and ideas, the Renaissance argued against most of the beliefs from the Middle Ages. Two of the most important ideas derived from the Renaissance were secularism and humanism. Both of the ideas emphasized the importance and abilities of humans. Out of these beliefs came new views and perceptions which set the foundation for the development of the Renaissance.
