On the evening of July 15th, 2008, police received a call from a frantic grandmother that two-year-old Callie Anthony had been missing for thirty-one days. The mother of the two-year-old, Cassie Anthony, was the number one suspect and is believed to know exactly where her child was or what happened to her. It was very bizarre because Cassie had a picture-perfect family with a younger brother, a father who worked in law enforcement, and a mother who worked in healthcare. Things in the Anthony family started to take a turn for the worse when Cassie went to high school, she became impulsive and reckless during her teenage years, she was a truant and chronic liar, didn't graduate high school, and got pregnant at nineteen years old. For the simple reason that Cassie never wanted the responsibility of being a mother, Cassie Marie Anthony is guilty of the murder of two-year-old Callie Anthony. This is true because, for several reasons, Cassie didn’t contact law enforcement after her young daughter had been missing for 31 days. According to the 911 call, Casey stated to the dispatcher “I have been looking for her and have gone through other resources to try and find her, which was stupid”. The prosecution then used this phone call during the trial to reveal how calm Casey was during the call and almost extricated as unbothered. No innocent mother would wait a month to call the police if their nanny had abducted their two-year-old daughter by using “other resources”. The tone in the 911 call was way too relaxed, any other mother calling to report their missing child would be in shambles almost how grandmother Cindy Anthony sounded on her 911 call. The only reason a mother would not want to get law enforcement involved would be if the mother was involved or had known what happened to the victim. Whereas, the defense and part of the jury agreed with the statement that Casey was “raised to lie and be secretive” due to childhood
